Kid City

“Significance of the Family” is one of the 7 core values of Holy Trinity Church. Kid City is our ministry to children created to support this value. We want Kid City to reflect our desire to see the gospel grow in our community and show our commitment to support parents as they provide for the spiritual nurture of their children.

Kid City is designed to support children and families in discipling the children of HTC. We use The Gospel Project lessons each week, and love seeing kids engaged with the interactive, Christ-centered lessons. Children ages 2 and older begin the service with their parents, and then move to their Kid City class when dismissed from the main service, shortly before the sermon begins. Children are divided into smaller classrooms for the lesson with an appropriate ratio of volunteers present, leading the kids through the lesson. After the lesson, some ages combine for play and creative time until the end of the service, when they are picked up by their parent. Kid City lines are divided as follows:

BLUE LINE: Ages 3-24 Months (available for the entire service)

GREEN LINE: Ages 2-5 Years (available during the sermon)

RED LINE: K-3rd Grade (available during the sermon)

ORANGE LINE: 4th-5th Grade (available during the sermon)

communion

HTC welcomes children back into the service to celebrate communion with their families, which usually happens on the first Sunday of every month. Even if children are not yet ready to partake in communion, we find that it is important for them to be present with their families and the larger family of Christ. If you would like to learn more about communion and baptism for your children, we would encourage you to watch this discussion with Pastors Jon Dennis and Sully Curtin.

volunteers

Volunteers are what make Kid City an awesome place to be every week! Volunteer roles range from teaching and supporting classes to caring for babies in the nursery. All volunteers have undergone a background check and are committed to upholding the Child Protection Policy, to ensure a safe and supportive space for all children and volunteers. We encourage all families to have at least one parent volunteering once a month, and welcome all other regular attenders to join in as well!
